Your freight on the open road

Your freight on the open road

At Smarter Logistics, we are experts at Road Freight shipping, and we offer both FTL (Full Truck Load) and LTL (Less Than Truckload).

LTL
Less Than Truckload (LTL) is perfect for smaller shipments, typically 100 to 10 000 pounds in weight. With the LTL option, you only pay for the space in the truck that you use – while the rest of the truck is filled with other small shipments. This makes LTL and great option for small business that don’t ship large quantities but still want the budget-friendly option of Road Freight. LTL’s only noticeable disadvantage is that it can take extra time over a Ful Truck Load, as there may be several pick-ups along the way.

FTL

Full Truck Load (FTL) means that the entire truck will be dedicated to your shipment. This is typically used when there are ten or more pallets in the shipment. With no additional pick up stops, a dedicated Full Truck Load has a number of advantages including quicker delivery time and less risk of damage. Because of these advantages, some clients chose the FTL option even if their freight needs are less than a full truck’s capacity.
